BAND-BIO (DEUTSCH).... „Post-Thrash“ – dieser recht neuen Spielart des Metal, geprägt durch Elemente aus Metalcore, Hardcore und des klassischen Metals, hat sich die 2002 in Ostbayern gegründete Band .. LAWNMOWER verschrieben. .... Die Wurzeln von LAWNMOWER liegen im Bereich des NuMetal, charakterisiert durch ein tiefes Tuning und anfangs dem Zusammenspiel von 2 Bässen. Nach eingehenden Bühnen- und Tourerfahrungen in den Jahren 2003 und 2004 begab es sich jedoch, dass eine musikalische als auch personelle Neuausrichtung von Nöten war. .. Der Sound der Band veränderte sich im Zuge dessen zusehends in den finalen, jetzt deutlich energiegeladeneren und für den Zuhörer besser zu erfassenden Stil. .... Die Bandgeschichte ist ähnlich abwechslungsreich wie die Charaktere der einzelnen Mitglieder. Nach zahlreichen Umwälzungen in den Jahren 2005 und 2006 hat die Band nun ihr aktuelles und mit Abstand bestes Gesicht gefunden. .... Zu den Gründungsmitgliedern zählen Michael Pfeilschifter (G), Thomas Öllinger (B) und Ulrich Schoepe (Dr). Nach der musikalischen Neuausrichtung, welche sich grundlegend im Jahre 2006 vollzog, stieß mit Johannes Winter der neue Frontman dazu, welcher sich schon nach kurzer Zeit als Volltreffer erwies. Mit seiner Hilfe wurde ein komplett neues Set eingespielt, das nahezu keine Wünsche mehr offen lässt. .. Im Mai 2007 konnte mit Jan Kurschus ein neuer Lead-Gitarrist gewonnen werden, welcher sich nahtlos ins Bandgefüge integrierte und nicht unwesentlich zur weiteren Verbesserung des Sounds beitrug. .. .. Im Jahr 2007 griff die Band wieder voll an, um sich und das brandneue Line-Up .. dem geneigten Publikum in bester Form zu präsentieren. .... Im Rahmen der „5-Years-Of-Shit: LAWNMOWER-Anniversary-Tour 2007“ ist dies auch ohne jede Frage durchgehend gelungen. .... Anfang 2008 vollzog sich ein neuerlicher Wechsel im Bandgefüge: Thomas Öllinger verließ aus persönlichen Gründen die Band und Ralf Kellner (Ex-HisNameIsRobertPaulsen) übernahm den vakanten Posten am Bass. .... _______________________________________________________________ .... LAWNMOWER, a band from southern Germany, which was founded in 2002, has dedicated itself to „Post Thrash“ – a rather new style of Metal which is characterized by elements of Metalcore, Hardcore and classic Metal. .... The band’s history is as diversified as the characters of the band members. After various changes during 2005 and 2006, the band now has found by far its best way... The founding members are Pfeili (guitar), Thomas Oellinger (bass) and S.Ulrich (drums). .. After the essential musical changes in 2006, Johannes Winter, the new frontman joined LAWNMOWER, who soon turned out to fit perfectly. With the help of this new lead singer they created a completely new set, which is just awesome. .... LAWNMOWER’s roots lie in the field of NuMetal, which is characterized by deep tuning and the initial interplay of two basses. After the band had gained experience in performing and touring in 2003 and 2004, it became clear that both musical changes and reorganization concerning the band members had to be made. The sound has shifted more and more to the band’s current final and energetic style. .... In 2007, Jan Kurschus joined the band as new Lead-Guitarist, and due to his excellent skills, LAWNMOWER was able to develop and rise it's sound to the current,.. very exciting level. ....
