Sounds Like
Ourselves. Wish we were Liz Carroll or Patrick Ourceau or Randal Bays or Daithi Sproule or Roger Landes. Until the identity theft works, we'll enjoy the ride!
Thanks, guys, for joining us for that set at Deb's during the Stroll. Loved your set at Jose Malone's too. Haven't had a chance to say so since we're still out of Roadrunner and power at our house.... Cheers~ and Happy Holidays! Vonnie and John.
The music at Troy Victorian Stroll was fine, but as I suspected, the videos that I recorded on my little camera weren't worth saving -- noisy, grainy, etc. But, I did get a couple of okay snapshots out of it, like this one:
I have an idea for a music event, and I'm wondering whether it's worth pursuing. What do you think of this:
Matt and Shannon Heaton are playing Caffe Lena on Sat. Dec 20. Sometimes they do workshops in addition to their gigs. So, maybe they'd be willing to do a workshop on Dec 20, when they're in Saratoga for their Caffe Lena gig.
But, is the idea (a workshop) just out of the question? I mean, it will be the Saturday before Christmas; so, will Saratoga be a parking nightmare that weekend? Will people be too busy shopping to do an Irish music workshop? Would there even be any place available to hold an afternoon workshop? I have no idea.
But if you think there's a fair number of people interested in a workshop with the Heatons then I'd be happy to cajole them. At this point I'm not even sure if it would be a flute/guitar workshop or a tune learning session or what... I'm just trying to get a feel for how many people might be interested. So if anyone's interested please let me know! -Dave
