Lawson's a vampire. He was born as part of a race of living vampires that has evolved alongside humanity over thousands of years. He's also a Fixer, divinely chosen to be one of the elite few - part cop, part spy, and part enforcer. When something threatens The Balance - the delicate line separating humans and vampires - he gets called in to make things right. Most of the time that means he has to put someone down and put them down hard. It's a tough and bloody job, but someone has to do it. Just his luck, that someone happens to be him.
