Influences
There's no way to list the musical influences of each of our teachers, but we CAN talk about what has influenced our teaching styles. Our lessons program is based on love for ALL music. From the delicate articulations of a classical pianist playing a Chopin Nocturne, to the legato note flurries of Joe Satriani, there is so much to enrich our lives in all forms of music. Ultimately, music comes from people, and therein finds its true value.
Sounds Like
The real question is, "What do our STUDENTS sound like?". The songs that you hear when you visit this myspace site are either teacher songs or student songs. Please give them a listen so you can hear the talents of our teachers and students alike!
PMEC was founded to provide a first-rate education experience for students who want to excel in the modern world of music. Our students learn the same basics that they would learn in ordinary lessons, but also get incredible hands-on experience that prepares them for the "real" musical world of performing, recording, or just playing with some friends. Students take home custom-made mp3s that make practice time feel less like drudgery and more like jamming with their favorite band. As our students develop their skills, they can put them to use in our great-sounding recording studio. Not only is this a truly fun experience, but it is also a powerful way for the student to honestly evaluate their own playing. These really are lessons like nowhere else!

Synergy was awesome! I am taking American Popular Music with Proffesor Moots, so I got to see them perform in class as well. I took my daughter to the show with me and see fell in love! The CU Jazz students did really well too. Thanks for the add!
