   About Layne Staley Fund


LAYNE STALEY FUND MISSION STATEMENT:

Layne Staley Fund, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization created in 2002, provides hope, education, support and treatment funds for heroin recovery in the Seattle music community.

Seeking to turn the tragedy of Layne's death into hope for those that suffer, Layne Staley Fund (LSF) uses donated funds and proceeds from the sale of merchandise and tribute revenues to support local chemical dependency facilities, drug education, and outreach programs. We work with fans and musicians to raise funds for community heroin recovery programs.

Hello LSF. My gratitude has been overshadowed by loneliness, discouragement, and uncertainty. I stopped by here to remind myself when, how, why, and where my journey began. Layne is the "who" that ties it all together, in a way it makes sense to me. I needed to remember how a single moment can align the events of a lifetime, as it did for me just over a year ago. The strength of this page always gives me hope and clarity...and lately I've lost touch with those feelings.

So here's the deal. On Saturday, Nov. 21st (next month), I'm going to be playing at The Best of the Northwest Women of Rock. There will be 16 cameras videotaping the event and it's going to be at capacity. I will personally be delivering tickets in a few Sundays. Please come out and support your local hotties. All I would need is how many tickets you'd like and an address to deliver them in person. I'll propose a time as soon as I can. Hope to hear from you soon. :)
