It is just a scary for a homeless person to become apart of society, as it would be for one of us to become homeless.
About me: Lazarus is a ministry for the homeless based out of Trinity Vineyard. Since November of 2000, we have been going down to the capitol befriending the men and women that sleep in the parking lots nearby.
Every Tuesday and Thursday we meet at Octane Coffee(octanecoffee.com, for directions) at 6:30 pm.
Every Sunday, Lazarus meets at Trinity(www.trinityvineyard.org for Directions)at 4:30-During these times,we go down near the capitol and befriend, hand out some food, beverage, vitamins and smiles.
OUR MAIN PURPOSE IS FRIENDSHIP- to hang out and look them in the eyes when most look the other way: To care and be consistently real.
Who I'd like to meet: Anyone who wants the opportunity to give and walk out their faith. Anyone who wants to be the hands and feet of Jesus to the downtrodden.
what an amazingly simple and yet powerful ministry. god has used your faithfulness to move me to action. may god continue to bless you as you offer a cup of cold water (or hot chocolate) to those who are thirsty. prophesy to those dry bones, "dry bones, get up" (ezek. 37). i hope others who see this page and work with this ministry will be changed like i have been. a thousand times thanks.
