"There is neither happiness nor misery in the world; there is only the comparison of one state with another, nothing more. He who has felt the deepest grief is best able to experience supreme happiness."
-Alexandre Dumas (The Count of Monte Cristo)
"To be bitter is to attribute intent and personality to the formless, infinite, unchanging and unchangeable void. We drift on a chartless, resistless sea. Let us sing when we can, and forget the rest..."
-H.P. Lovecraft (letter to FB Long: Mar. 21, 1924)
"He had no longer any need for home, for he carried his Gormenghast within him. All that
he sought was jostling within himself. He had grown up. What a boy had set out to seek a
man had found, found by the act of living."
-Mervyn Peake (Titus Alone)
"I sometimes feel that I'm impersonating the dark unconscious of the whole human race. I know this sounds sick, but I love it."
-Vincent Price
"For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream."
-Vincent van Gogh
I live in Bellingham during the school year, and Tacoma during the breaks. Bellingham's claim to fame is Death Cab for Cutie. Tacoma's is Ted Bundy (serial killer) and Stadium High School (Where "10 Things I Hate About You" was filmed). Actually, rumor has it that Ted Bundy also lived in my apartment building in Bellingham. Fun times!
I checked out your deviantART pictures and they're waaay pretty! It also looks like you were down my way (Washington). Where all did you go? You should've stopped to visit, hehe.
No I wish I could of thought of it first, but I found it on DA the first day I joined, I ended up watching that DA artist, she has a funny web comic with the caracters of Labyrinth and Phantom of the opera. I wish I really could update my pictures on DA I've done so many more than what's posted there and what's on the boards.
She honestly doesn't bring enough to the character, her singing is a little flat too. The newer version the Character of Mrs. Lovette is more pitiable but with much more force than the musical, like at the end when she admits she lied but it was because she loved Todd. Sigh he was a monster but then he too was Pitiable.
Crap, Have you had the Sublime pleasure of watching Sweeney? I can't be too sure... But damn was it good, Now I must procure myself the musical and the soundtrack...because frankly it's both good... Although Mrs. Lovette does leave something to be desired... Boham Carter does a better
