Né en 2006, La zone de Ramsay Hunt distille un jazz actuel aux sonorités électriques. Ses compositions teintées d'improvisations sont animées par un duo batterie-claviers à l'énergie rock-dub et portées par le son suave de la clarinette basse. Des thèmes klezmer, des ambiances cinématographiques colorent un jazz fusion inspirés par Medeski, Martin & Wood, Masada ou encore Mahavishnu Orchestra. La rencontre avec Cecilia Lerouge au violoncelle pimente cette formation atypique.

Born in 2006, La Zone de Ramsay Hunt is a contemporary jazz band with a unique sound. Drum and keyboard are at the heart of their improvisation-friendly composition. Their rock-like energy is counterbalanced by the soften sound of the bass clarinet. Klezmer themes, dub feeling and cinematographical atmospheres mix with their fusion jazz inspired by the likes of Medeski, Martin and Wood, Masada or Mahavishnu Orchestra. Their meeting with Cecilia Lerouge at cello spices up this unusual formation.
