"Country Diamonds," Lyn's third CD is now available!! Lyn's versatile music talents shine through as she moves from love songs of the 50's and 60's in "Red Satin" and big band sounds in "Satin Dreams" to the country genre. "Country Diamonds" is a special treat because not only does it include classic country tunes, but it showcases two new songs. "I Too Love You" that Lyn co-wrote with Stephanie Rodrigue and "Almost Over You" written by Drew Rice. Sweet Dreams, If I Had You, Desperado, Rose Garden, and Always On My Mind are just a few of the songs that you will enjoy on this CD. ************************************** How it all got started......It started with Pershing Wells, of Digital Sac-a'-Lait Productions. About two years ago a dear friend who knows how much I love music and how I've dreamed of getting to record, arranged for me to meet Pershing and record a song. The rest is history! Pershing has consistantly been at the top of his form. He has created amazing original arrangements and has been unfailingly supportive of my efforts. His phrase, "raise the bar," has moved me to successfully test the limits I had unknowingly set for myself. Along with extraordinary talents, Pershing is a remarkable human being! I feel so very fortunate to know him.

ABOUT LYN CANTRELLE:
Lyn Cantrelle was born on the Mississippi River delta southwest of New Orleans, Louisiana. (Yes there is land southwest of New Orleans!) She is the great, great, great granddaughter of Henry Schyler Thibodaux, once governor of Louisiana, who after leaving Canada during the Acadian expulsion, settled on Bayou Lafourche and the settlement was subsequently named "Thibodaux" after him. She was raised among graceful old plantation and moss filled oak trees. Her musical talent came to her from both sides of her family. Her maternal grandmother won many contests playing classical piano. Her paternal grandfather played banjo and guitar in his own band. In Lyn, the musical talent is more than a good ear and wonderful singing voice. In her music, her talent and wholehearted pleasure comes shining through and enhances your listening experience.
Lyn and her husband, Stan, play in a local band in which she plays keyboard and does vocals. Stan is the drummer and also does vocals. Their band specializes in music from the '50's and '60's and entertains at local establishments, for special occasions, and dances. Along with the music from the band Lyn also enjoys music from other genre. She also particularly likes to sing country music.
When asked how she felt about recording her first CD, she answered. with a catch in her voice, "It's a dream coming true." She began to realize her dream when a good friend, who recognized her talent, arranged an opportunity for her to record a song in a professional recording studio. Lyn knows now, that those who dare to really dream can have their dreams come true!
Just checking in with you my friend and hoping you are well!
