Aye what’s poppin ya’ll it’s your boy L.C. First of all i would like to take the moment to thank each and everyone of u for checking out my page it really means a lot.
When I was growing up I noticed that I had some musical talent at a young age. I used to perform in church in front of everyone. Growing up I mainly listened to artist such as New Edition, Boyz II Men, and Michael Jackson just to name a few. I really didn’t discover the passion for rhyme until near the end of grade 7. I wasn't really into all that hardcore rap stuff. I mainly listened to artist such as Mase/Lox, you know the whole Bad Boy Record family well when they were real big back in the day. When public school ended for me i found myself listening to alot of underground hip hop n R&B music. Some of them were actually pretty good but because they were class as that they never really made it that big... When i first started high school I gave the music thing a break and focus more on track and school work. I didn't really get back into performing into my later years in school.
In 2003 my friend James Browning credited a label/group called “Playasville Records” He knew I had some skills on the mic and asked me if I would ever be interested in recording some tracks for him. Right away I said yes. I mean it was a chance for me to grow as an artist and to better myself. There were a bunch of other artists on there as well but none of them are with us anymore. James credited a little website that had information about what this Playasville Thing is really about. We had things such as artist bio’s were people could come and see what that person is all about. I remember going to his studio all the time to record tracks and JB would just do the mixing, which was nice cause since i was still getting into the whole hip hop thing that’s something I didn’t know how to do just yet. I Still remember performing in such things as school talent shows. Now I’m not going to lie there were a lot of people hating on me, telling me that I give rap as bad name. Now I could have just stopped right then n there but I didn’t. I mean I love music with a passion, so I really don’t care with what anyone said or does.
As soon as I was done high school I started to take music really serious. So I started working hard on tracks and just recording them on my home computer. Doing all the mixing for the tracks myself. My first mixtape was released in the summer of 06. It did fairly well considering I didn't really promote it that much. The sound on it wasn't the greatest either. U could hear a lot of clicks and pops in the background which wasn't good. But hey I was just learning how to mix tracks.
I took some time off on that year to work on some side projects helping out other artist on their mixtapes/albums by either mixing for them or laying down a verse or hook. I really enjoyed doing that. I like helping out other artist try to reach their dreams.
On Oct 26 2007 I got done another mixtape. I knew this one had to be better than the last one cause; I started to really get people noticing me. Now on this once it’s wasn’t just me on it.. It featured other talented artist such as Drew (AKA The Truth), GS, and Olaolu(he's a artist from ATL, and I helped him out with one his one track called “Hip Hop”.) I got a lot of big ups from a lot of those songs on there. But still I was on the grind trying to get my name out that. James even mixed a few tracks for me on there..
On April 2008, Drew (AKA the Truth) and I formed together a group that we like to call "C-Town Connect" and released a mixtape that same year. AS always the music was great people enjoyed it but when Your from a small town a lot of people really don't respect urban music that much which is sad. It Featured alot of great artist on there.. GS, Nameless, Jae, and Monique Spence.
On Oct of 08 I put out a free mixtape for people just to get my music out there n I was quite happy on how the public liked it...
In early 2009 James and I got back together again. It’s been a few years since we recorded together casue we were doing our own things. The both of us have a strong passion when it comes to music and Playasville. So this June Playasville ENT put out it's first ever mixtape called “Now And Forevor”. We search all over north American for artist that we fell would make this mixtape sound great. 18 great artist from all over north american were featured on this mixtape.. The first week that we posted the mixtape online people really liked listening to it which means alot to us.. so if u want to download it feel free to take a look at either my page or the playasville site casue the link for it will be right on the page.
As of right now i'm working on my solo mixtape. now i'm not going to go into too much detail about it but it's either going to be out late 4th quarter or early 1st quarter of next year...
