Welcome to Lake Country Players Zombie Walk 2009! This is a fundraising event to help raise money to continue our efforts to keep the arts alive in Schuyler County and the surrounding areas. Come Join us in your best Zombie Costume and walk an approximate 3 mile path through the village of Watkins Glen. Refreshments provided after walk.
Introductions The Lake Country Players are one of the leading community theater organizations in the Twin Tiers. Most of our shows are performed in Schuyler County, but our members come from all over the Twin Tiers, including Elmira, Horseheads, Corning, Ithaca, and even a Pennsylvanian or two.
Activities
Each year, LCP presents a full-scale musical in November, as well as a youth musical each summer. We've also presented dinner theaters, musical reviews, historical plays, haunted houses, ghost walks, and a host of other projects. Keep an eye on this site for upcoming performances and events.
Education
LCP is dedicated to promoting youth involvement in the arts. We offer three scholarships annually to area high school seniors who have participated in school theater activities. We also annually offer the Charlie Stamp Memorial Scholarship to graduating seniors who have participated in the Lake Country Players and intend to pursue a degree or career in the arts.
Membership
Meetings are held monthly, and membership is open to anyone interested in promoting arts in the community. New members are always welcome, regardless of experience.
Annual dues are $5.00 for an individual adult membership, $7.00 for a family membership. Individuals under 18 are offered junior membership at no charge. Because LCP is a non-profit corporation, only members over the age of eighteen have voting rights. However, our junior members are encouraged to attend meetings and offer their insight and input.
Founding member and former front man of John Brown’s Body Kevin Kinsella returns to Southern Cali August 1 to perform with Elijah Emmanuel and the Revelations. Come out and show some love!
A typical Kevin Kinsella set includes his new original reggae, 10 Ft. Ganja Plant music and classic JBB songs.
