In no particular order - Notorious BIG, Billy Joel, The Grateful Dead, Ratdog, Jodeci, Marvin Gaye, Coldplay, Eminem (but only the old shit. when he was angry), Madonna, Frank Sinatra, Erykah Badu, Bonnie Raitt, Guns N Roses, Wu Tang Clan, Dr. Dre, Snoop, 3CF9, Bon Jovi, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jay-Z, Shania Twain, Mike Doughty, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, The Fugees, Outkast, Kelly Clarkson, Rilo Kiley, Gwen Stefani, No Doubt, Beres Hammond, Al Green, Prince, Guns N Roses, Bruce Springsteen, Whitney Houston...look, aurally entertain me, and I'm yours. ANYTHING KEVIN SMITH DOES - Clerks II is amazing!! Say Anything, Love Jones, Don't Be A Menace to South Central while Drinking Your Juice in the Hood, Scarface, Goodfellas, Pretty Woman, 9 to 5, Frankie and Johnny, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Crashers, Love and Basketball, Elf, Dazed and Confused, Overboard, Fight Club, whatever's on HBO on a Sunday that I can watch straight through to kill a day. | | Television | LOST, Grey's Anatomy, Boston Legal, the SOPRANOS, Eureka, CSI, The World Series of Pop Culture, reruns on Nick at Nite, anything that is not reality TV based WITH THE EXCEPTION OF any VHI special thingie with the commentators - those are great! | | Books | The Autobiography of Malcolm X by Alex Haley (read it, its fucking amazing), State of Fear by Michael Crichton (totally intriguing), Wicked, The Harry Potter Series (i'll admit it, its great), all four books by Dan Brown - because they're spooky, every trashy romance novel Harlequin can print, The Catcher in the Rye, Iris Johansen books, Kristin Hannah books, Bridget Jones' Diary, Their Eyes Were Watching God...look I love books. I love the stories, and I love that its all there for you to imagine how its happening. I don't care what a loser that makes me, reading is the only thing besides music that can make me feel like I'm somewhere else when I need to go and I can't leave. |
