Log Cabin Republicans of Tampa Bay is the Bay Area's home for gay, lesbian and straight Republicans who hold conservative values while believing that compassion, inclusion and understanding represent the ideals of most Americans.

We believe that diversity includes differences in political views and that one party does not reflect the attitudes and opinions of all gay and lesbian people.

We stand for the proposition that all of us are created equal-worthy of the same rights to freedom, liberty, and equality. We believe that equality can only ultimately be achieved with support from Americans from both major parties. We are loyal Republicans who work within the G.O.P. to advocate equal rights for all Americans, including gays and lesbians. We believe in the principles of limited government, individual liberty, individual responsibility, free markets and a strong national defense. We emphasize that these principles and the moral values on which they stand are consistent with the pursuit of equal treatment under the law for gay and lesbian Americans.

We believe in the principle that the Republican Party is a party for everyone - the party of Abraham Lincoln.

Log Cabin was founded in 1978 and is the nation's largest organization representing gay and lesbian Republicans and their friends. Log Cabin Republicans has over 50 chapters across the country, a national office staff in Washington, D.C. and a federal political action committee that raises money for inclusive, fair-minded Republican candidates. Log Cabin Republicans of Tampa Bay was founded in 1991.
