About me:
PEACE and LUV Y'all! Thank you SO SO SO much for all of the LUV for Jayd!!! Y'all are keeping a sistah busy! I am enjoying the success of my new novel series, DRAMA HIGH (available EVERYWHERE books are sold), targeted towards African American young adults. The series takes place in Compton, California with the main character, Jayd Jackson, moving between her home world and a white high school in the South Bay of Los Angeles. She deals with all of the typical teenage drama like cheating boyfriends and fights with hatin' females but has the help of her mystical grandmother, Mama, to see her through. This series is closely related to my own experiences and anyone who has ever gone to high school a day in their life can feel Jayd's journey. I am a native of Compton, California. I have lived in Jamaica and now reside in Atlanta, Georgia. I have spent much time in Ghana, Puerto Rico and various other cities and states and what nots;) I have two beautiful children and love my life as a writer/educator/life-long student.
