The LeaderSpark Program is for ALL youth. Program participants come from a range of social and economic backgrounds; from large urban high schools to small private schools; from having diverse leadership experiences to having no leadership experience. This program provides the skills necessary to participate successfully in groups and to lead school organizations, the workplace and society. We want to connect with young people who can be leaders today as well as developing leadership skills for tomorrow.
For organizations looking to provide leadership skills development, LeaderSpark offers a proven curriculum. The LeaderSpark model is based on "Awareness, Practice and Application" as the three methods to develop and support emerging leaders today and to strengthen groups and communities tomorrow. "Awareness," both of self and of others, is built into all aspects of the curriculum. Program participants are encouraged to become more aware of their personal leadership behaviors and the behaviors of others. "Practice" is reflected in the structure of the topic sessions. Youth participants are not passive learners, but rather are actively engaged in large and small group interactions, discussing issues relevant to them, their organizations and their projects. "Application" is the overall goal of the LeaderSpark training. The awareness, knowledge, skills and practiced behaviors of group leadership can be applied immediately. The curriculum deals with real problems and offers practical solutions.
Key values of LeaderSpark are: Young people can learn and improve their group leadership skills, and can be effective leaders; Effective leadership is dependent on mobilizing volunteers and other resources; Diversity of viewpoints, backgrounds, and experiences provides a richness of insight in making group decisions; Participants in LeaderSpark programs are encouraged to learn from each other through a hands-on, interactive approach, and small breakout groups; Curriculum focuses on "awareness" of leadership characteristics and styles, "practice" of group relations and process techniques, and the immediate "application" of this learning to strengthen leadership skills; LeaderSpark is a "model" for running a group; the structure and process of the Program reflects the values that are taught in the Curriculum.
LeaderSpark is organized around topics covered in sessions of the program.
Topics Include:
Qualities and Styles of Leadership
Working with Groups
Planning Projects
Dealing with Conflict
Presenting Yourself: Public Speaking and Interviewing
Recognition and Celebration
Participants identify their own goals to utilize in the program.
The approach used in LeaderSpark exemplifies the norms and philosophy of the program. The program "models" running effective meetings, encouraging shared leadership, and pacing the materials and discussions to meet participants' needs. Minutes or notes from the session are sent out to program participants regularly.
Feedback sheets are a part of each topic so that the program can make adjustments as needed.

Tens of millions of Americans consider their morning juice sacrosanct. As scientists zero in on the causes of ever rising waist lines and obesity rates, however, sugary drinks, including what were once considered healthy fruit juices, have emerged as a primary culprit.
“But wait, I thought fruit juices were supposed to be good for me?” you ask. According to Dr. Robert Lustig, “The upside of juice consumption is so infinitesimal compared to the downside that we shouldn’t even be having this discussion.”
The inconvenient truth, many experts say, is that 100% fruit juice poses the same obesity-related health risks as Coke, Pepsi and other widely vilified beverages.
Fortunately, Yoli has the solution. Isn’t it time for everyone to rethink their drink? Over 1 million dollars in sales our 1st month alone. How big a piece of that pie would you like?
