A portion of the special ticket proceeds will benefit Filipino non-profit organizations including the Filipino American Arts Exposition, Manilatown Heritage Foundation and ABS-CBN Foundation's Bantay Bata program.

“We are extremely grateful for this relationship between the Giants and the Filipino community. This heritage event has grown to be one of the largest programs of its kind, bringing together a celebration of athletics, community and culture,” said Tom McDonald, Giants senior vice president of consumer marketing. “We expect nearly 10,000 Filipino Americans at our event on April 21 with close to $50,000 in charitable proceeds being raised.

About me:

http://lfssfsu.wordpress.com/
MISSION STATEMENT:
We focus to deepen our understanding of the concrete connections between Filipinos in the United States and in the Homeland by studying and propagating the rich and proud revolutionary heritage of our People's continuing struggle for liberation and National Democracy.

We take it upon ourselves as youth and students to renew our Filipino culture and history, define our present situation as Filipinos all over the world, come to a proper understanding of how to remedy our current condition, and take action.

BalikSamBayanan is our exposure trip/integration program to the Philippines, which allows LFS organizers to concretely understand the socio-economic conditions of the Filipino people and why so many are forced to work abroad. LFS works with the LFS National in the Philippines, BAYAN-USA, and BAYAN Philippines in executing the program. For more info, please send us a message.
