We focus to deepen our understanding of the concrete connections between Filipinos in the United States and in the Homeland by studying and propagating the rich and proud revolutionary heritage of our People's continuing struggle for liberation and National Democracy.
We take it upon ourselves as youth and students to renew our Filipino culture and history, define our present situation as Filipinos all over the world, come to a proper understanding of how to remedy our current condition, and take action.

~DIWANG PINAY: SOUL OF THE PINAY: CELEBRATING THE STRUGGLES AND TRIUMPHS OF THE FILIPINO WOMAN~
is an event that highlights the Filipino woman's contributions in our everyday existance. Diwang Pinay contains an PINAY line up of performers organized by the women of LFS. The event allows LFS to propagate the issues affecting our community while at the same time supporting our local artists. District.
~Flip Da Skipt~
is an open-mic session for ALL. If you write poetry, MC, play an instrument, or just want to share whats in your mind, this is the place for you! BEST OF ALL IT'S FREE!!
~Ring The Alarm~
is our rock show for all of you who love listening to punk, heavy metal, rock, etc.
~KUSS (Kilusan Underground Sound Session~
is a hip-hop event showcasing the local hip-hop artists.
The money raised at these events will help fund our integration to the Philippines this summer and donations for the communities that we visit.
~BalikSamBayanan (BSB)~
is an exposure trip/integration program to the Philippines, which allows LFS organizers to concretely understand the socio-economic conditions of the Filipino people and why so many are forced to work abroad. LFS works with the LFS National in the Philippines, BAYAN-USA, and BAYAN Philippines in executing the program. For more info, please send us a message.

on july 18th & july 19th, the korean community center (kcceb) & camp han ma um (hmu) will hold a special TWO NIGHT ONLY korean film screening! all proceeds will go towards raising money to provide financial aid to campers from low-income families.
enjoy two nights of the finest korean cinema & help support camp han ma um!
all screenings feature english subtitles && will take place at the korean youth cultural center (kycc) at 4216 telegraph avenue, oakland ca 94609. each film will be $7 for adults, $5 for students with id. arrive early!
