Members
Leah Pritchard
Singer/Songwriter
Growing up in central Alabama, country music was one of the constants in her life. From the classic Hank Williams and Alabama, to the more modern Miranda Lambert and Sammy Kershaw, Leah was influenced by the pure simpleness of their songs.
Country music are simply songs written about experiences and from the heart. Since high school, Leah has embraced college life, while working a part time job and putting countless hours into writing and performing her own music.
Kowaliga Country radio station, the voice of Lake Martin, leading up to the upcoming season of American Idol, and Leah was named winner of their inaugural season on Jan. 9th.
Tony Buenger/Manager
Guitar, Backing Vocals
Tony originally hung his hat in Baltimore, Maryland. He retired from the USAF in 2007 and has settled down in clectic, Alabama. Tony’s interest in music began when his parents bought him his first guitar at the age of nine. He hasn’t put the guitar down since. Since the Air Force would move Tony every few years during his 22-year career, he gained a wide variety of experience in many different bands across the country.
Tony has played in rock bands, variety bands, corporate bands, disco bands, and swing bands just to name a few. He has played on the beaches of Hawaii and in the midst of snow banks in Alaska. Locally, Tony played in Rexton Lee’s band throughout 2007.
Tony also owns Guest House Studios, LLC in Eclectic, Alabama.
Justin Clayton
Bass, Backing Vocals
Justin is originally from Alexander City, Alabama where he was very involved in music throughout high school. Justin was an assistant engineer and live sound engineer for about 5 bands during this time. He continued his love for music by enrolling in the University of North Alabama and in May 2006, he graduated with his B.A. in Commercial Music.
Straight out of college, Justin interned for Reflection Sound Studios in Charlotte, North Carolina. For two months, he worked with Bob Engel, Bruce Irvine, and Don Dixon to help record and edit the work of Anthony Hamilton, Solange Knowles (Beyonce's sister), The Drifters, and various other music acts.
Justin moved back to Alexander City at the end of 2006 and has been playing and recording bass guitar for multiple music acts. In the summer of 2007, Justin met Tony Buenger and the two became great friends. They also played in Rexton Lee’s band throughout 2007.
Jake Caldwell
Drums
Jake Caldwell lives in both Nashville and Auburn. He was fortunate enough to meet some wonderful people who helped him realize what a great opportunity he had in Nashville. At age 21, he landed a job as the drummer for Lee Roy Parnell and the HotLinks where he was able to tour the world and play for large audiences in support of Lee Roy's "Tell The Truth" album.
After a couple of years of priceless experience, he auditioned for a slot in
Phil Vassar's road band and was hired for Phil Vassar's tour during
2005-2007.
Mark Sweat
Guitar, Vocals
Mark Sweat is originally from Atlanta, Ga., and has played around campfires from Baghdad to Birmingham. Heplays acoustic and electric guitar and sings backup and lead vocals. Some of his more recent projects were fronting Auburn, Al bands Tangleblue, The Bluegills, Mark Sweat and the Family Band, and Dirtnap. At home on the stage or in the studio, Mark is a veteran performer and an excellent songwriter. His rock and blues background adds another level of energy to the hard-driving sound of The Drive.
Brian Campbell
Drums ( AND COWBELL!!!!! )
Brian lives in Montgomery, Alabama. Brian is a high-energy drummer, but very modest (which is unusual for a drummer – INSERT DRUMMER JOKE HERE), because he could only muster up a few words for his own bio! Brian has been playing drums for the past 18 years, which includes stints in several popular bands in the area, including performing in numerous venues across four states.
