Leah Seawright has been performing since she was just a child. She remembers standing on a tree stump as her stage, singing to the neighborhood kids. It didn't bother her at all that she had a severe speach impediment. Through years of speach therapy, she conquered that obstacle.
Leah comes from a musical family. She didn't have many material things as a child, but she and her family had 'Music'. Music has been the one constant in her life. Those family gatherings, around her dad and his guitar, are memories that allowed her passion for singing and playing to grow.
As a teenager, Leah learned to play the guitar and started singing in a local band. They perfomed at fairs and school events. By this time, she became aware of the fact that this was her destiny.
After years of performing with bands, Leah began writing songs. After winning a local competition, she won the opportunity to record her songs in a Nashville Studio. Before the first album was complete, she had written the songs for her second album. Soon after the completion of album number one, she went in to record album number two.
Leah's latest project is a group of soulful, country tunes she's written. "These songs are inspired by my roots and my love for country. A couple of them I just wrote just havin' fun... just part of my personality, I guess."
Leah enjoys watching her music touch people's lives. She tries to relate to her audience wherever she performs. She says as long as she feels that she's touching people's lives with her music......She'll never stop performing. She believes whenGod gives you a gift, you shouldn't hide it, you should share it with the world!music layout powered by HOTFreeLayouts.com / MyHotComments
