A few months ago I decided to face some old fears and celebrate new beginnings. I lost a dear friend last year to breast cancer and the finite-ness of my life stared me in the face. I also just finished recording my album "Beyond Words", which I'm so proud of. So I went skydiving!!! Who was the brave soul to do the jump with me... my amazing mother!!!

Leah West is a Canadian-American Singer-Songwriter who grew up in New Jersey, near New York City. "It is a huge melting pot of culture and it was a great place to grow up and be surrounded by fabulous music and entertainment from all over the world." Leah moved to Canada in 2005 to immerse herself in the vibrant Canadian music scene. She travels extensively, but calls Kelowna, BC, Canada home. Even though her main genre of music is in the Alternative-Indie, Pop-Rock realm, she can't deny roots and influences from all types of music.

Her debut CD "Beyond Words" is finally out and for sale on her web site, iTunes, or CD Baby. Leah writes all her own songs and is currently writing for soundtracks and is also an incredibly prolific lyricist and songwriter. She has penned over 150 songs to date with songs in many genres including rock, pop, folk, alternative, country, blues, and more. She is currently working with the very talented producer, Marty Rifkin. Marty has worked with Bruce Springsteen, Jewel, Tom Petty, Elton John, Shawn Mullins, Dwight Yoakam, Leanne Rimes, and Glen Campbell to name just a few. Leah is honoured to be working with such an exceptional talent.

In addition to singing and songwriting, Leah is also a trained dancer (Garden State Ballet), actor (Lee Strasberg NYC), and visual artist. She speaks both English and Spanish (et un peu de français) and is able to work in the US, Canada, and Europe. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG), the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA), and NACA.org.
