    I love traveling to new places, although I think the journey is often the most fun.

    I also enjoy reading, cooking, blogging and playing computer games.

    Our newest hobby is rock hunting. We are cutting and polishing our stones, and are planning to make jewelry using our finds as well as with store-bought beads.

  • Music

    I like a wide variety of music, but I admit it...I'm a classic rock/motown kinda girl.

  • Movies

    I enjoy a good movie (old or new) be it a thriller, comedy or even a "B" quality sci-fi movie. I think a lot of the newer movies give up quality by treating the viewers like they're stupid. The movies often seem formulaic and there is too much gratuitous everything...gratuitous violence, gore, sex, profanity. It's like Hamburger Helper for Film...easier to accomplish than a well-worked script or well-prepared acting.

    When I watch a movie I like to be able to remember it, be effected by it in some way. Many of the newer movies I watch are just forgettable. Of course, Mark says it doesn't matter since I rarely sit still long enough to watch an entire movie from beginning to end...whatever! *g*

  • Books

    I am constantly reading. Sometimes more than one book at a time, but that's usually a sign I'm pretty unimpressed with one or both of the books. I like crime mysteries and some of my favorite contemporary authors are James Kellerman, Allison Brennan, Karen Slaughter, Tess Gerritson, Alex Kava, Iris Johanson, etc, etc.

    I also read Nora Roberts, whose books are mostly romantic in nature, but have strong female characters, which I enjoy.

    Another of my favorites is Dean Koontz, whose books are as good as Stephen Kings (go S.K.!), but tend to have happier endings.

  • Heroes

    I'm not into hero-worship as a rule. I think everyday heroes have it all over caped crusaders any day! We all have a little hero in us...somewhere...maybe way way way down deep, but it's there! I just know it!!!

    That said, I want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU TO OUR MILITARY. Regardless of your politics, these brave men and women deserve our respect and support. For every sacrifice they make, big or small, I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

I'm half of a 40-something couple who sold nearly all their worldly possessions to pay their debts, buy and remodel a classic motor home and hit the road to see America. I'd like to meet many of the friends I've made online over the years. I've met quite a few and they're all truly wonderful people.

In fact, Mark and I met online in late 1996 and we've been together since 1998. If for no other reason than that, I'd like to meet Bill Gates and thank him for making our meeting possible!

As for famous people, I'd like to meet Jimmy Buffett 'cause I think he'd be interesting and he's damned cool.

    yeah i was having a bad day me and lori broke up but im doing better. Its hard trying to have a long distance relationship but its ok we are still friends. me and alex are in chattanogga for the week with jamie. Its so pretty up here.
