About me:
Music is my ultimate passion. I feel it is a form of therapy.. It's how I express myself.. singing it.. writing it.. playing it.. and listening to it! I am a striving 19 year old local singer/songwriter from Newfoundland, I play the piano & guitar, and my central goal in life is to become a successful singer songwriter and pursue a career as a professional recording artist some day :) Most people say they can't "genrify" me, haha..I haven't stuck to one main genre or style.. I just love to mix it up and try to be as flexible as possible with different genres and styles.. I like to do power-pop, contemporary country, jazzy blues, soul r&b, folk, acoustic and soft- alternative rock. I find it's always great to be versatile! I have a love for it all... and a complete appreciation and respect for all types. Music is music :)
I love to spend time with my family and friends. I truly treasure all of the people I have in my life, and I feel so fortunate to have them by my side, because they have been a huge inspiration for me, have guided me in a great direction, and have been there through every little thing!
I was the winner of the NFLD Teen Karaoke Competition in 2006, and part of the prize was $5000 and a CD recording. I released that cd last March and it consists of 10 cover tracks and 2 originals and it is being sold all across Newfoundland :) It was a great way to get more exposure and get a taste of the music industry in my own province.. I have had the chance to be involved in the music circle with local talents, and have met the most amazing people who have been helping me on my musical journey. Right now I am just keeping busy peforming at every gig or show that comes my way! I am fortunate for every opportunity that flies by.. because every little thing counts! I am writing alot lately.. so I am planning on recording a cd consisting of about 12-13 originals in the next year hopefully :)(We all know how time-consuming & costly it can be!)

Who I'd like to meet:
I always enjoy talking to and meeting people who are passionate, interesting, and have goals set for themselves. I admire people who have a true passion to succeed with something and do everything in their power to pursue.. Drive and Dedidication are two things that I am very attracted to. It is always nice to meet people who have the same interests that I have. Musicans are always great to talk to! Like we all know, artsy people are of a different breed :) haha!
