The Trevalyan Triangle
"Seldom am I as impressed with an original artist as I am with this amazing performer”, writes Skot Atha of The Outpost. “Trevalyan has a sultry, alto voice capable of rendering both bluesy and country tunes with incredible honesty.” quotes Les Reynolds, Indie Music Review.
Singer songwriter Leanne Trevalyan’s forth solo release “Dandelion” is being met with rave reviews, and her live show with her band The Trevalyan Triangle is equally impressive. The groups sound is rounded out with rich, textured layers of acoustic and electric instruments as well as stripped down, bare-boned ballads.
Trevalyan, a founding member of the roots band Junkyard Jane, was named the Tacoma Music Award recipient for "Female Performer of the Year" and has written over 200 songs.
Born in Baltimore, and raised on the Gulf coast of Florida, Trevalyan’s professional career began in the Tampa Bay area where she cut her teeth in a harmony-based, acoustic trio. Seeking higher ground, Leanne journeyed to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado where she played clubs and ski resorts for a few years, winning the grand prize at the First Annual Boulder Acoustic Music and Songwriting Festival.
In the early 90’s, the songstress moved to the Northwest and racked up no less than four Washington BB Award nominations each for "Best Songwriter" and "Best Female Vocalist". A decade later, Leanne moved to the Americana friendly city of Louisville, Kentucky in an effort to broaden her fan base and expand her touring horizons. In 2007 Trevalyan moved back to the Seattle area once again.
From roots rock bands to folk trios to bluesy combos, she has melded her many influences with her songwriting. Through it all, Leanne Trevalyan’s acoustic roots have and always will remain a constant part of her music.
"Incredible lyrics and a voice so pure and crystalline you have to experience it to believe it." Skot Atha, The Outpost, Monterey, KY
