UPDATED XELA NEWS APRIL 2009! A while since the last update but you know how it is. Busy times, busy times. Been doing lots of shows and getting lots of releases ready - you might have noticed that both the 'Heirs of the Fire' LP (on SMTG) and 'The Illuminated' LP (on Dekorder) have both come out this year so far. There are a few copies left also on each, so grab them while you can. Next on the production line will be my collaboration with Matt Christensen (of Zelienople fame) under the shadowy 'Twells & Christensen' moniker... it's on VERY limited vinyl and CD on the lovely Digitalis label so keep your eyes peeled. On a more Xela-fied tip is the monster 20-minute remix I did for Static Caravan's Yellow Moon Band, that should be out any minute on GREEN vinyl. It sounds aces, and if you liked my Suspiria/Halloween 7" from way back then you'd likely be interested. I 'Goblin-ed out' for want of a better expression. Keeping with the Static Caravan theme the 'Transit' lathe-cut 10" should drop fairly soon - this is the most limited thing I've done for ages, 100 copies and never to be repressed, so if you want one you'll have to act sharpish. Later in the year hopefully there will be a few more things on the horizon - trying to finish two more cassettes for Digitalis, a couple of split 12"s and a much-expected collaboration with Zelienople percussionist Mike Weis. It's all in the works, let's say.

His debut album Navigare soon to feature on the Miasmah label, Simon Scott is set to be a household name in conceptual music. Simon is the former Slowdive drummer, co-producer of Televise, producer of Seavault, and owner of KESH Recordings label.
