Also, I'm just not a huge fan of rap... Don't get me wrong, some of it is cool and has good lyrics and a beat (I've got some TLC and Mary J. Blige, but most is just too 'thug' and 'gangsta' for me... and some of the R&B stuff out there is just re-hashed R&B from 20 years ago.... R&B never sounds all that much different, ya know?

Big fan of Horror genre and scifi stuff.... Love 'Halloween' (original) and 'Halloween H20','Hellraiser' (series of films).... I really enjoyed the resurgence of the 'serial' films ('Star Wars' and 'Star Trek', the 'Indiana Jones' movies, etc.)....
I love the quirky and offbeat stuff, too.... 'The Eyes of Laura Mars' is a really quirky 70's thriller.... Kevin Smith is a freakin' genius! 'Dogma' is a great look at the absurdities of religion...
And I like a lot of the 'gay cinema', too... Love 'Big Eden' a great love story about letting love find YOU instead of YOU chasing IT... and I love 'Steel Magnolias' (I'm Clairee Belcher, thank you very much....)
And I think that M. Night Shyamalan is a brilliant man.
I try to see at least a movie a month at the theatres - but don't always get a chance....
Television
Not really a HUGE TV fan.... When the other half moved in, I told him (yes, HIM) that he'd have to get cable or satellite TV - 'cuz I don't watch enough of it to want to spend 50 bucks a month on it.......
Don't get me wrong - I spend time on the couch, watchin' the tube as much as some of the next guys... But, I don't live my life around TV....
I used to watch some shows on a regular basis: Farscape, Futurama, Firefly, Battlestar Galatica, Invader Zim, The Simpsons, Queer as Folk, Will & Grace...

Family Guy, Gilmore Girls (loved the grandmother!), Smallville and a whole crapload of other TV bs....) and used to watch a lot of Discovery Channel and 'educational' stuff like that... I flip channels a lot, looking for decent movies to watch on Showtime or HBO and trying to find some shows to fill space and time, but I don't always find stuff I like..... I'll watch Cartoon Network for ADULT SWIM and some of the great stuff that was just a bit too ahead of it's time.... A lot of times, I'll just pop in a DVD or a video and watch that, instead... or put something in the Playstation..... more times than not, it's just on for white noise and filler...
Adult films pique my interest, too.... OK, for the neadrethals in the crowd - that is PORN..... But I like it notsomuch for the naked men and hot sex (don't get me wrong, I watch for that reason too!), but a lot of times it is to watch for the story - the REASON that they're gettin' it on..... I just don't get the whole ding-dong (guy goes to the door) "Who is it?" - "I'm the Plumber. I'm here to check your pipes." - bow-chicka-bown-bown (bad soundtrack begins) - guy opens door and there is a hunky plumber in overalls and no shirt, with one shoulder undone - with a loose tool belt.... guy invites plumber in and takes him to kitchen to check the drains... plumber climbs under the sink, guy is in shorts, looking at plumber's crotch.... rubs his own crotch... plumber catches guy's crotch rub and unhooks other shoulder strap. Plumber climbs out from under sink and overalls sink lower on his hips, revealing the top of his ass crack and his pubes.... reaching for a tool in his box, he brushes against guy... plumber crawls back under sink and asks guy to turn on faucet - which then sprays water all over guy's tight t-shirt and shorts - outlining his his body in wet, white cotton.... plumber crawls out from under sink - wet from water spray - as overalls slip further down - as guy grabs towel and begins to dry himself off - and then dries off plumber.... next scene - cut to instant hard ons, bucking and grinding against each other..... then POP goes a condom and a full fledged fuck fest ensues.....
