About me:
We are located in Seward on the Kenai Peninsula in South Central Alaska. Le Barn Appetit is owned and operated by Yvon and Janet Van Driessche. Le Barn is a creperie and B&B. If you are looking for a fun place to dine or stay this is it. You are a customer until you walk through the door, from then on you are family.
The Owners:
Yvon, the chef and co-owner, is originally from Belgium where both of his parents owned their own restaurants. Yvon moved to Alaska in 1966. He is a big and loud character with a french accent and a big heart. He is always joking and laughing with the customers, and definitly has a taste for his own food...if you know what I mean ;)
Janet is the backbone and co-owner of this operation. She may not always be joking or talking with the customers, but she takes care of everything "behind the scenes". Orininally from New Mexico, Janet came up to Alaska in 1972. She had a year long teaching job...she just forgot to go back to New Mexico. ;)
Creperie
Open from 7ish in the morning to 9 at night.
We serve meal and dessert crepes. Don't let the delicate name fool you, at the end of the meal we will have to roll you out to your car!
B&B
We have 6 individual rooms, 2 of which are private baths. The other 3 share a bathroom and living room and can be rented serperately or as an apartment. Look at our pictures!
