Forming in 2005, this alt-rock four piece from the Gold Coast met through their studies at The Griffith University's Conservatorium of Music. As a collective, their musical chemistry is undeniable and their sound is a mesmerising blend of subtle beauty and epic rock.
LeBelle has had a busy 2008, supporting The Red Paintings & Dukes of Windsor, appearing at A la Carte in the Park, as well as numerous shows at live venues 'the Cooly Hotel', 'Bar 388', ‘the Basement’, ‘the Cavern’, ‘Fisherman’s Wharf’, ‘the Hard Rock Cafe’, 'Waxy's,' and also winning the hard-contested Loud08 competition at Carrara Stadium. Lately they have been receiving regular Triple J airplay of the song ‘Spilt Milk’, in anticipation of their upcoming release.
Their self-titled debut EP, now available, is powerful and majestic, with hard hitting hooks, beautiful piano melodies and stunning vocal harmonies. LeBelle’s approach to songwriting is diverse and unpredictable, combining complex, ethereal sounds with driving strength.
LeBelle have huge plans for 2009. The release of their debut LP, many tours and complete world domination, watch this space!!!
