  The Bayou Stompers are one of the most active Cajun bands in South Louisiana performing six nights a week at some of the most popular Cajun restaurants from Breaux Bridge to New Orleans Louisiana and occasionally take their music on the road and perform at festivals and special events.

   They are proud of their Cajun heritage and truly devoted to performing traditional and contemporary Cajun music with dignity and professionalism.

   About Lee Benoit
  Lee recorded his first CD (Lee Benoit Avec Amis) on the Master-Trak label in 1994 which was nominated for "Best First Album" and "Song of the Year" (with the song "Valerie") by the Cajun French Music Association.

   He has traveled through out the United States and Europe representing his Cajun culture. He represented the state of Louisiana on March 14th 1997 at Quebec, Canada's Forum Fracophone De Concertation. Lee also recorded with Hadley Castille on his "Third Generation" CD in 1995, and Hadley's "Forty Acres and Two Mules" CD in 2000. Lee has also played accordion and guitar on Doug Kershaw's "Two Step Fever" CD in 1999. He has co-produced and played guitar on Hunter Hayes "Through My Eyes" CD in 1999 and co-produced Hunter's 2nd CD "Make A Wish" in 2001. Lee's second CD "Live at Vermilionville" was released in 1998 and was nominated in five categories with the Cajun French Music Association; "Male Vocalist Of The Year", "Accordionist Of The Year", "Album Of The Year", "Band Of The Year", and on August 13, 1999, Lee won the CFMA "Song Of The Year" with (The Visit). Lee's third CD "Dis "N" Dat" was released on September 29, 2000. His version of "Boogie Shoes" was the most requested song on the Polyester Power Hour on Louisiana's KTDY 99.9 FM from May 4th through the 18th in 2001. He won "Accordionist Of The Year" in 2001 and the "Presidents Award" in 2002 with the Cajun French Music Association.

   Lee"s forth CD "Ma Petite Femme" was recorded, mixed and mastered at Lee's home and was released in 2005. He won "Male Vocalist Of The Year", "Accordionist Of The Year", and "Song Of The Year" with the title cut "Ma Petite Femme". And his wife Valerie won "Best Female Vocalist". Lee was also nominated for "Best Recording Of The Year" and "Peoples Choice 2006" with the Cajun French Music Association.
