23RD LEEDS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL 11th - 22nd NOVEMBER 2009
Hello, we are foreigners from Sheffield that will be playing Leeds on the 12th of December at the Cardigan Arms. It would be grand if you could come and make noise for us, as Sheffield folk are far too frightend to come to a big city like leeds. Cheers The Unfortunate Incident
Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear attack?
A while ago I came across some stuff that inspired me to make this film:
Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella
Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.
Though source materials are quite aged, the fundamentals are still relevant today.
I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here: http://www. youtube. com/watch?v=UaIim3Rj7L4

Do not despair if you have missed out on purchasing a Night of the Dead pass, tickets are still available for the Day of the Dead event. This year the Day of the Dead line up is packed with five feature films and includes the smart, sassy and breathlessly energetic SexyKiller (with guest appearances by director Miguel Martí and lead actress Macarena Gómez), the horrific and savagely funny Mum & Dad, Johnny Kevorkian’s psychologically unnerving The Disappeared, nerve jangling supernatural horror Nightmare Detective, and French horror sensation Martyrs. A pass can be purchased for the reasonably low price of £20 / £16 or individual tickets can be purchased for only £6.00 / £4.50.
Sexykiller Sat 8 Nov, 7pm, City Varieties - Part of Day of the Dead
Sexykiller is here, and she’s coming to Leeds first! Barbara is a medical student at university. She is young, beautiful and adores fashion. But Barbara also has a dark side, when not in classes or out shopping she is a brutally, violent serial killer. The police have no leads, assuming that the killer must be a man they have no chance of ever catching Barbara, no chance at all until a pair of students develop a brain wave analyzer and unwittingly resuscitate Barbara’s victims!!
