Generally...I like relaxing...listening to music. I like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, surfing the web; videography, photography. I'm probably not cooler than you.
I really like to travel. I've been to 21 different countries. Here are the cool one's I've been to.
I lived in Turkey for 3 years I lived in Tokyo for 2 years
I've visited these countries:
Peru Germany Italy Netherlands England Austria Thailand Singapore Cambodia Mexico Colombia Ireland France
I want to go to these countries: Scotland Spain
Music
I honestly listen to anything and everything that sounds good. There's too many bands to list, but here are a few of my favorites...
My favorite of all time is Led Zeppelin.
I think the most influential band of all time is the Beach Boys.
I'm really into Indie bands who write what I like to call "music" Bands like My Morning Jacket, The Shins, Rogue Wave, Stars, Stellastarr, Iron & Wine, Postal Service, Death Cab, Bloc Party and more of that Genre. Also bands like Coldplay, Radiohead and Ben Folds Five.
I don't like Hard Rock as much as I did when I was younger, but I still listen to and appreciate bands like Mars Volta, Tool, A Perfect Circle, NIN, and Rage Against the Machine. I actually really like Breaking Benjamin.
I like bands that people classify as "christian bands" Anberlin, Relient K, Spoken, Waking Ashland, Blindside, Jeremy Camp and more.
I like electronic stuff as well...one of my favorite songs is Where Do I Begin by Chemical Brothers, I also like Moby, Boards of Canada, Sigur Ros, Blockhead, Squarepusher, Amon Tobin, and some Aphex Twin...stuff like that.
Acoustic or folk stuff...Ryan Adams, Joseph Arthur, Jeff Buckley, Cat Power,etc...
I also really like latin music...Bachata, Merengue, Salsa, Reggaeton...if I go dancing in a club I only dance to latin stuff...unless I'm drunk...which doesn't happen much anymore.
Movies
Garden State, Almost Famous, The Beach, City of God, Snatch...
I like to watch movies, so I have a lot of "Favorites"
Television
I don't watch a lot of TV. I like That 70's Show... Oh, and the BBC comedy The Office is probably the funniest thing I've seen...but for some reason, a lot of people think I'm wrong for thinking that...they just don't get it...
Books
I read a lot of the bible, I suggest you try it. I read a lot of Non-Fiction. I like to read apologetics. I'm currently reading a collection of writings from and about Ernesto "Che" Guevera that I like. I think Chuck Palahniuk is a great writer. Also Nick Hornby, Irvine Welsh, and David Sedaris. Anything off the wall
Heroes
Probably my Grandpa...he's somebody I'd like to model my life after
My name is Lee Hoover, I'm a Jesus fan, a music fan, and becoming quite the Stephanie fan. I'm a tv and radio broadcast journalist for Air Force News in San Antonio. I enjoy shooting and editing video, plus I like photography. I'm not an expert, but I enjoy it all. You can check out some of my videos and photos at leehoover.com
I'm a christian and I encourage everyone to read the bible...here are two verses I try to live by...emphasis on try
Galatians Ch 1 Verse 10:
"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ."
Titus Ch 2 Verses 7,8:
"In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us."
I can speak spanish fairly well, I taught myself, so its not perfect, but I'm always learning more and enjoy the latin culture. My favorite hobby besides that is soccer. I play it, watch it, coach it, love it. I also listen to a lot music, I'm learning how to play the guitar. I play the drumset but I dont have one anymore. I'm pretty laid back, I have somewhat of a sarcastic humor, and I'm pretty down to earth. I consider myself honest and like to be a good friend to anybody who needs it. I don't really care what other people think and I think that's my best quality. That doesn't mean I'm an ass, it just means I don't worry about impressing people and I live life like I want to live it. I don't really have any enemies so that's a good thing. If you want to get to know me, just add me as a friend.
Who I'd like to meet: New Friends, Old Friends, Fellow Christians, Writers, Journalists, Photographers
