Kot vecino stvari v popularni glasbi Slovenci tudi pop pojmujemo zelo cudno, ali bolje receno, malo drugace. Pop je za nas predvsem tisto, kar je popularno - ta trenutek torej nasponane dekline, ki posiljujejo z neumnimi besedili, globokimi in neokusnimi dekolteji ter ostudno, iz pritlehne polke izpeljano glasbo. Na drugi strani te nase "pop scene" pa nas pricakajo podobno "urejeni" mladci ali mladenke, ki svoje umotvore zavijajo v patetiko zgodbic o teen-bendu, v katerem vsi vse delajo skupaj. Na tej strani pa imate se eno izbiro, ki obsega podrocje med popevkarsko/evrovizijskim kicem ter nekaksnemu nicemur podobnemu plesnemu stanc (lahko zraven se turbo in Balkan) rogoviljenju. V vsaki malce bolj urbani sredini, kjer je glasbena kultura na vsaj malo visjem nivoju kot pri nas, pa vedo, da so vse te zgoraj nastete smernice le deviacije, ki s pravim, kreativnim popom, ki ima neko trajno vrednost, nimajo nobene zveze. Vse zgoraj napisano se da povedati tudi z drugimi, bolj preprostimi besedami: "V Sloveniji pravega popa ni ze tja od konca osemdesetih."
Breziski comboti Leeloojamais pa so na dobri poti, da to sramotno dejstvo posteno popravijo. Pred leti so s svojim drugim albumom neXtasy ter killersko groovy skladbo Ne Zameri mi dodobra pretresli sesuto slovensko pop sceno. Sicer so radijski uredniki in drugi snovalci na--ega okusa kar dolgo rabili, da so dojeli, pa vendarle. Ne zameri mi je postala pesem leta in ena najbolj zelenih skladb.
Le upamo pa lahko, da bo ta album prebudil tudi tisto (verjetno najstevilcnejso) tiho vecino slovenskih poslusalcev, ki ne verjame (vec) vse stevilcnejsim bleferjem, bednim in do poneumljanja ponavljajocim playlistam polkvalificiranih radijskih in televizijskih ("kao") urednikov ter ne gleda glasbenih oddaj, v katerih so glasbeniki ponizani do te mere, da se morajo iti razne trapaste igrice ali kvize. Country Club Music je naravnost idealna plosca za to tiho vecino, ki se kljubuje vse silovitejsemu izpiranju mozganov, in ki zna sama izbrati in uzivati v dobri glasbi. In ce bo album smash, potem bomo kon--no pokazali, da je tudi Slovenija lahko urbano in kultivirano pop trzisce, kjer se ne prodajajo samo pop smeti, in kjer se lahko tudi ustvarjalna drznost in inovativnost obrestujeta. Ja, delo Leeloojamais v tem okolju kolektivnega poneumljanja sploh ni lahko! (SiOL.net)

Leeloojamais errupted onto the Slovenian music scene in 2001 as bright shining stars with there debut album 'Pod vplivom' ('Under influence').
At this time the quartet, along with the unique voice of singer Lara Love and the rich flavor of saxophones and keyboards was different from anything that Slovenia had ever heard before. This unpredictable fusion of jazz, rock, pop and funk music left the sceptics in agreement that Slovenia finally had a great mainstream band. From this beginning it was known that Leeloojamais live performances were something regarded as a 'must see'.
Their second record 'Nextasy' was created and recorded in their home studio 'Stala'. One of the biggest Slovenian hits of the year 2004, which was also seen in MTV's show 'World Chart Express', is entitled 'Ne zameri mi' ('Free') and in which Leeloojamais worked with hip-hop artist Lord Lefty from Netherlands.
Rok Lopatic, master of keyboards in the group, along with other two members of Club & Vehicle production team Ivo & Lovro, were responsible for a very fresh and modern production sound on Nextasy' back then.
The result for all the hard work and musical talent, mixed with imagination has recieved two awards in Slovenia. Album 'Nextasy' was also awarded as a 'Record of the year 2004' by music journalists, radio editors. The song 'Ne zameri mi' was announced as 'The best POP song of 2004' for Slovenian Radio Festival (SRF04) in Maribor in the beginning of March 2005. Leeloojamais even earned a nomination for MTV EMA as "Best act on MTV Adria".
The wonderful fusion of jazz, funk, hip-hop and r'n'b on the 'Nextasy' record finally convinced not only the critics and music colleagues, but also Leeloojamais fans who were absolutely thrilled about the modern and urban sound of the band.
As Club & Vehicle production team they also produced great material for other artists in Slovenia and ex-YU countries such as, E.N.I., Nina Osenar. Year 2008 brought them another nomination in Croatia - an music award "PORIN 2008" for the best pop album production for the group called "E.N.I.".
