Sounds Like
Like Sheryl Crow with more depth; like Sarah McLachlan with more spunk.
Or as one YouTube listener put it, "kinda edie brickell meets natalie merchant."

Who knew that a guitar, a web cam, and an internet connection could lead to a career change?
Leesha had played music for years in a variety of venues but never considered it more than a hobby. But in 2007, on a whim, she started posting videos of her singing her original songs on YouTube. Within months, her videos were receiving thousands of hits, and fans were asking, “Where can I buy the CD?”
Soon Leesha took her guitar out of the spare bedroom and into live gigs, quickly gaining local fans that were delighted to find her online videos. Again, they asked, “Where’s the CD?”
Hence, “Penny in the Pocket”—Leesha’s debut release—was born. Featuring full studio versions of 12 original songs, as well as a bonus spoken track, the album is sure to delight old fans and win new ones as well. Her thoughtful lyrics show a surprising depth of insight into the human condition, and her melodies range from toe-tapping grooves to goose-bump inducing ballads.
Leesha's music videos have received over 565,000 views on YouTube. In April 2008, her video for her song "Coal Train" was featured on the front page of YouTube, and she was also featured as a YouTube "Unsigned Pick" in Music.
I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)..
Thanks, Leesha. We had safe passage to San Antone and back to O-Town. Around 2,000 mi. in five days. We didn't kill each other, so I guess the tour was a success.
Great Job last night Leesha! I will get a copy of your set to Grant this weekend! I look forward to listening to your CD while on the road this summer as well! Thanks again for playing!

Its going to be a good show. I asked a friend of mine named Mike Springer to do a short 15 minute set up front. He's a great songwriter and it will be a good start for the night.
Yah that does suck that they did that about Mark's job. That is really cool you are teaching though. What is a flat, like an apartment? You should look at what I live in it is under my Iraq picture album. Cool maybe I can see her when she comes home in August!
Yah kids are good you will never have to buy a snow blower. I don't really like snow either now, I want to move to like cali or arizona. That is really cool you are making a profit now. Why didn't Mark have a job, sorry If I should known about that nobody tells me anything over here I am out of the loop. I come home in July. How far does my Mom live from you. How is Debbie doing?
Hi, I am doing good. I just can't wait to come home. You never know how great the states are until you have to leave them. Even Nebraska JK. The weather is really nice here right now it feels great sunny and low eighties in the day. I have no idea what snow is anymore! It is kind of nice though. I eat to good it is like eating at country buffet for every meal. I heard that is snowing right now back there. Are you making your kids scoop the driveway yet? How have you been? Have you sold very many CD's?
I hope you remember me, I bought your CD last year. I'm a fellow singer-songwriter, and I've just about finished my first album 'Road To Freedom'. I'm sure you're pretty busy, but if you do get the chance to stop by my site and have a listen it would be greatly appreciated :).
Out of interest, are you having much success with your first album. I was very impressed by it, and regularly listen to songs from it on my ipod.
