Mainly just LeeSun (writing, singing, playing, recording, producing), with random collaborators.
Influences
George Macdonald, CS Lewis, George Eliot, Paul Simon, Billy Joel, (why are these all dead or old white guys so far -- with the exception of George Eliot? -- just thinking aloud ...), Schubert, Derek Zoolander, Ella Fitzgerald, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jane Coop, Rena Sharon, MC Testament, James Clark, ...
Sounds Like
Bjork, Norah Jones, Ani DiFranco, and Erin McKeown apparently (see Editor's review at www.download.com/leesun), Suzanne Vega, Tori Amos, Carly Simon, Jane Siberry, Beth Orton, Massive Attack, Imogen Heap, Aimee Mann, Helma Sawatzky, Patty Larkin, St Etienne, Veda Hille, Chantal Kreviazuk
LeeSun was born in Seoul, Korea, grew up in Canada and is now based in the UK. After a short stint on another planet and the discovery of an allergy to formal education, she decided to sing about how messed up the earth is, how beautiful people are, and of course Love, which to quote the Beatles “is all you need”.
LeeSun's debut EP, Dis illusion, is available for listening, downloading, sharing, and buying at http://leesun.bandcamp.com. It's a wonderful collection of four unmistakeably LeeSun tunes, seeped in smiles, wisdom, and warm fuzzy feelings, underpinned with hint of darkness.
“If you crossed the most enchanting aspects of Erin McKeown, Ani DiFranco, Norah Jones, and Bjork, you'd be left with one tripped-out chanteuse. You'd be left with LeeSun. The UK singer-songwriter combines the cadence and confessional pitch of McKeown and DiFranco with the intimacy of Jones and Bjork's frozen waifishness.”

Lovely new tune. Your music is the satisfaction of the craving that comes from having heard it. And when more have you will become the cult classic that deserve to be. It's not for everyone--why should it be? Your music is too unique and precious.
