NEW CD UNDERWAY
After a busy summer and brief hiatus, Lee and the band are back in pre-production for the recording of her 6th CD to begin shortly. Stay tuned for upcoming CD Release Show date to be announced!
DEMISE OF GREAT LOCAL VENUE
The Stagecoach Inn, location of the Old Groton Open-Mic where Lee often performed, burned down on August 2nd. The historic 333-year old inn held many fond memories for local performers, where GS Picard held her popular Open-Mic series on Friday evenings. GS is now continuing the series at the Main Street Cafe in Groton. ~~
NEW GUITARIST
Lee is thrilled to announce that Rosalfonso Bortoni has joined the Lee Villaire Band on lead guitar! Ros, who hails from Brazil, is a gifted guitarist who brings a rich style of playing to the musical mix. Look for him to debut with the band on the upcoming CD!

Lee Villaire (pronounced "vill-air"), is a New England singer/songwriter of what’s been best described as sensual bluesy rock. This Canadian performer, who calls Massachusetts home for nearly ten years, changed her name from Villeneuve to Villaire after moving to the U.S., but her music continues to evolve in the same direction, highlighting her unique lyrical style that runs the gamut from sexy to playful to poignant, all emotionally delivered by this powerhouse vocalist and her talented band.

Over the last year, Lee and the band have showcased throughout New England, including a sold-out show this winter at the legendary Bull Run in Shirley, MA. Two tracks off her last CD “Curious” were selected as part of “The Best of 2010” on Cape Cod’s Pixy 103FM Homegrown radio program, while other songs charted on over 30 college radio stations throughout the country.

Lee’s originally from Montreal and has been writing songs since the age of 14. She’s penned tunes for blues legend Bob Walsh and Scottish country band Evangeline, released her first solo CD in 2001 and has won Honorable Mentions in the International Unisong and Billboard songwriting competitions.
