Under the umbrella of Don Empire, Le Femme Sole, was created in 2006 for the sole purpose of uniting and empowering our youth through the avenue of art. Art has been an endangered culture for quite some time. Various organizations have fought for the funds and rights of our future generations and their ability to illustrate self-expression. It is time for Le Femme Sole to join that fight.
Two young female street artists, one turned designer and the other TV production guru initiate Le Femme Sole. Together using their skills achieved professionally aspires to breathe familiar life back into art. As a global forum for women representing street culture, Le Femme Sole hopes to connect intimately with not just our youth but the masses and say, "Look, we can do it too"!
Le Femme Sole is an art exhibit/tour that will showcase artwork from 12 female street artists from all around the globe. It's not your standard art show. Our artist will be using sneakers, live murals, and pieces of furniture as well as canvas to display their work. Le Femme Sole covers many forms of art including fashion, photography, music, graffiti, furniture design, music and break dancing. The tour is set to kick off this year in New York, NY. The following locations are Atlanta, GA, Miami, FL, Los Angeles, CA and the UK. It is important that this audience knows that art is the global language that we can speak together. Each exhibit will showcase a local talent. Also, art vendors will be able to buy, sell and trade artwork. Each exhibit is celebrity hosted, and includes live break-dance and musical performances and DJs. Local media, radio and
print will cover exhibits. Le Femme Sole will donate 20% of ticket sales from each event to a specified charity or charities.
