Leftist Lounge functions are meant to revive the soul (literally) with dance, grooves, laughter, discussion and visual stimulation. It is place for activist/students/artist/writers/youth workers/teachers/social workers and the like to mingle with the other brave souljahs dedicated to creating a better CHICAGO for all.

From September 24-26 2009 thousands of protesters converged
in Pittsburgh PA. while the so called G-20 "world leaders" met to
discuss, among other things, the agenda for this week's COP15 in
Copenhagen to reach "new international climate agreements." [Actually
what they seem to be discussing is how to make the poor pay for the
climate change.]
This Thursday we will show some footage of the
protests @ Pittsburgh and discuss these issues as well as the issue of
the new climate of police rules, laws and restrictions to protest.
