The Leftover Biscuit Boys were founded in 1999 by Nathan Stinnette and Bryan Bridges, two friends who share a passion for America's great tradition of roots music. Drawing on old time string band music along with the country, blues and jug band traditions, they specialized in reviving classic songs from the 20's, 30's and 40's that many listeners may not have heard. Along with bassist Brian Dickle and fiddler Eric Brubaker, they quickly carved out a musical niche, becoming regulars at the Staunton Farmer's Market and performing at parties, concerts, weddings and dances. As time has passed, some members of the band have become busy with other projects or moved out of the area, but the basic philosophy of the band has endured. The Leftover Biscuit Boys have performed on WVPT Public Television, WEMU's 'Rocktown Radio' Program, at The Museum of Frontier Culture in Staunton and many other fine venues. In September 2005 they were honored to play the opening night at the new Prizery Theater in South Boston, VA. Active in the rich musical scene found in the Shenandoah Valley, The Leftover Biscuit Boys have been fortunate to include many talented local players in their shows, and their current line up is the best yet.
