Born out of Friendship and built on a desire to create, Left To Tell was formed with the heart to both inspire and bring hope and energy through their lyrics and music to all those around them. While most music drains you, Left to Tell hopes to charge you up to face the challenges in your life.
Hailing from Connecticut, Left To Tell was started in the autumn of 2006 after a recording collaboration between Bryan Minerly (vocals), Dan Mitchell (drums), and Justin Miller (lead guitar) on the song “Noise.” A passionate and haunting song with a driving chorus became the spark that motivated the three to continue to create moving and powerful songs melding Bryans strong and passionate vocals with Justin’s atmospheric melodies on guitar and Dan’s thundering drums. While this new creative fire was growing they called out to a friend, Hector (Junior) Ramirez, to join the band as bassist. Junior's skill to weave between Bryan and Justin brought in a new element that added more depth and possibilities to the band, but they all agreed that they were still in need of one more. After some time searching, the missing element they need came to them in Nate Venskytis (rhythm guitar). Nate’s focus and centered skills on the guitar helped tie all the other members' elements together to create a full and lush landscape in their songs.
One of the first things people identify with is the positive and energetic atmosphere that Left To Tell brings to their concerts along with their professional and friendly attitudes. This demeanor has caused bands, staff and concert goers at their shows to take notice, receiving compliments from Toad's Place, The Webster Theater, and The Space in Connecticut.
In the fall of 2008, Left To Tell released their first EP, “Two Trees,” which was recorded at Translate Studios in Kensington, CT with the help of producer Jonathan Cooke (Octoberwar, The Illustrated Man) and assistant producer and engineer Dave Swanson (Octoberwar, Life In Your Way, The Frozen Ocean).
