Legacy Uprising is the new band featuring Guitarist Curran Murphy (SHATTER MESSIAH, Ex-NEVERMORE & ANNIHILATOR) Bassist Kelly Conlon (Ex-DEATH & MONSTROSITY) Drummer Robert Falzano (SHATTER MESSIAH, Ex-ANNIHILATOR) Vocalist Mike Duncan (POWND) and 14 year old guitarist Joey Doherty.
The band was formed when Joey met Mike Duncan at the ROCKLAHOMA Festival where POWND was headlining and a 13 year old Joey performed the “Star Spangled Banner” to an astonished crowd of over 40,000 people. Mike was recruited to sing for Joey’s band LEGACY UPRISING and was asked to put together an all star line up of top notch musicians from the national metal scene. Curran Murphy was hired to produce the bands debut album and immediately recommended Robert Falzano to play drums and Kelly Conlon to play bass for the band. When the band sat down to decide on a suitable rhythm guitarist Mike said “Why don’t we just have Curran play guitar!?!” completing the lineup.
With the lineup in place Curran and Mike flew to Las Vegas to begin writing and pre-production with Joey. After only 3 weeks the first round of songs were complete and the band headed into the studio to rehearse and record their debut album. With their first album in the can the band is ready to hit the road and blow audiences away and leave them screaming for more. With a North American, Philippines and European tour in the works Legacy Uprising promises to be a relentless force, to be reckoned with and that is sure to leave in their path a trail of awestruck fans.
