Peruvian Pedigree, Born in New York, raised in Los Angeles - Silverlake District. I was raised in a humble family, which is why you will never catch me in a decked out escalade on dubs. I'm not your "bling-bling" rapper who parties with "bitches" and hangs out at the clubs. I am and will always be true to myself, my values and my fans. Yes, I love nice things but I'd rather have a 69 Camaro than a 09 Lex...
I remember the first time I rapped was back in the 5th grade, at recess on the benches with my lil thug homies at Lockwood Avenue Elementary. I was the geek of the bunch but for some reason the "bad" kids thought I was cool. I started to rap for them once in a while, sometimes my own words and sometimes other people's words. From there, I don't remember rapping again until high school, John Marshall. My boys and I would go cruising on Whittier Boulevard and talk to the ladies. I would rap a verse or two just for kicks. I remember some girls telling me that I sounded like NBK (Nasty Boy Klick, which is now NB Riders) from Arizona. I hadn't heard of them so I just brushed it off, all that mattered was that they said NBK was good at rapping, which meant I was too.
After a few years, stress hit. Being a father proved tough, making money proved even tougher. I was unstable, moving from living room to living room and car-less. Somehow all the stress created a mental block on my mind and as hard as I tried to rap, I couldn't put the verses together. I saved lines in the back of my mind but it felt like I would never put anything together. Slowly but surely, after seven years on the grind, my paper and my music grew stronger...
Now... I'm not rapping to become famous nor rich. I was at first then realized that I was getting nowhere. I rap because it's a passion to me... because the music grabs me and won't let me go until I give in, kinda' like a psycho ex-girlfriend! (Just kidding to my ex's) Don't get me wrong. Sometimes a person tells me, "Let's do this track" and I'll do it, but you hear the difference in the songs that grab me and the songs that are not interested in me. (Is it my figure?) I do it, because my son admires me for it. He picks up a mic, now in the 5th grade, and spits his bars...
