About me:

The annual Sturgis Rally is really about the side shows and if you haven’t yet seen all that goes on at Buffalo Chip then you’re missing out on what many visitors have billed as the “Best Party Anywhere!” If you thought the Buffalo Chip Campground was just a campground, somewhere to crash your weary body at the end of a fun-filled day at Sturgis, you’d be only partially right. Yes, Buffalo Chip is a campground, but it’s unlike any other campground you’ll find around Sturgis. Woody, the owner, wouldn’t have it any other way. He spends 51 weeks out of every year lining up the best bands, the best activities, the best food and the best crew he can find. Oh and he’s also got the best campgrounds in town! Woody’s proud to announce that those who stayed with him during the 2006 Sturgis Bike Week got to be among the first to use the Chip’s flushing toilets! And not only do many of the toilets flush, every day

Woody sees to it that his stellar crew cleans, sanitizes and properly maintains all the toilets and hot showers on the property. But make no mistake; the crew’s efforts don’t stop there. No matter where you go while at Buffalo Chip, all around it’s easy to see that cleanliness is a top priority. The annual Sturgis Rally takes place during the beginning of August, one of the most comfortable times of the year in Sturgis, South Dakota. There might be rain, and on occasion, tornadoes have touched down nearby, but overall the weather is perfect for the activities that the Buffalo Chip Campground has become famous for.

What are some of those activities? During Sturgis Bike Week 2006, the amphitheater at Buffalo Chip hosted big names like Gretchen Wilson, George Thorogood, Blue Oyster Cult, Kid Rock, Billy Idol, Foreigner and more. During 2005, Tim McGraw was there and so was Toby Keith, Journey, Twisted Sister, the Steve Miller Band and many others. Those are some big names and they’ll be hard to top but most big stars just can’t say no to ol’ Woody!

In addition to music, there are activities galore at Buffalo Chip! Amateur boxing, mud truck racing, laser light shows, motorcycle rodeos and Hot Bike Night were just a few of the favorites among young and old alike during 2006. And don’t forget about the food. At Buffalo Chip Campgrounds you’ll find everything from fast food to 5-moon dining. Heck, even Domino’s delivers here! Could Buffalo Chip be to Sturgis what the Strip is to Vegas? With so much to see and do, in an environment that’s safe, clean and fun for the entire adult family, Woody sure thinks so! But you don’t have to take Woody’s word for it. Visit the Buffalo Chip website at www.buffalochip.com right now and browse through the online guest book. There you can see all of the wonderful things that folks who’ve actually stayed here have to say about the campground at Buffalo Chip. While there, don’t forget to make your 2007 Sturgis Rally reservations because a lot of others are!
