I write. A lot. Almost all of it has to do with horror and the supernatural, though depending on the story in question you could laugh until you shoot milk out of your nose (whether or not you were drinking milk at the time) or question the very nature of your existence (whether or not you were existing at the time). Sometimes both will occur at the same time, creating an existential-dairy paradox most foul.
I'm the writer and co-creator of the comic book series Awakening, currently being published by Archaia Studios Press. Awakening has earned much praise in its first year, including Eagle Award nominations for Favourite Newcomer Writer and Favourite New Comic Book, with two hardcover collections set to follow in 2009. Currently I'm working on no less than 4 and no more than 7 other projects and endeavors...
I also, apparently, write blogs about comic book life. Surprisingly, it's a LOT like thug life. Check it out!
Brought to you by the fine folks at Archaia, publishers of Mouse Guard, Artesia, Okko, The Killer, and so on…
"A series of missing-persons and gruesome murders has begun to unfold in the city of Park Falls...
Derrick Peters, a former member of the Park Falls Police Department, receives a visit from Cynthia Ford one January afternoon. Cynthia, well known as the town crazy, seems to have finally lost her mind. She claims to have information about the murders, but does she hold the key to unlocking the mystery or has she truly gone insane? To Derrick's disbelief, she utters one word:
Zombies.
Unable to ignore Cynthia’s information, though not sharing her beliefs, Derrick and others in the city explore the mystery as weeks turn to months and the death toll rises. Could Cynthia have been right? Follow the first half of Park Falls’s year-long struggle for answers here…"
“The coolest and most original zombie piece since The Walking Dead got under way…” – Broken Frontier.
“Derrick Peters is where Phillip Marlowe meets George Romero.” – Horrorview
If you DO have a local shop, print out the pre-order coupon below and get it over there STAT! It has all of our Previews order info so it'll be a cinch for them to guarantee you a copy when it ships in June.
Who I'd like to meet: I really think you're screwed no matter what you put here. If you say you'd like to meet -insert famous person here-, you end up looking all "fanboy", and if you say "cool people" or "too many to list" you're just kind of lame. Well, I'm going to defy you and your rules. What now?! I'd like to meet...
The best arch-nemesis anyone could ask for...
::sigh:: Missed opportunities... "At a friend's wedding a few years ago, the best man made it apparent that he wasn't such a fan of the bride. The speech went something like this: '(Groom's name), man I love ya, you know I do. I hope you thought about this and that this is what you really, really, really want.' Then he said the bride's name, hit his fist against his chest twice, and pointed at her."-- From MSN News

origins of "the game" are unknown but can be dated back to AT LEAST the 1950's. the rules of the game are as follows
1) once you hear the second and third rule you are playing the game NO EXCEPTION!!
2) IF you think about you have lost the game, you must then forget about the game after 15 mins, if you think about the game again you have once again lost the game (and so on and so forth)
3) when you have lost the game you must announce to everyone else that is playing the game stating your losing status (i lost the game) thus making them think about and lose the game
this game must be handled with GREAT care as it will take over your life, there is no way around the game, you think about you lose, people stop trying to make loopholes...there is none!
mwahahahaha you are now playing/losing the game
Example one (as it is starting)
Erika: "did you see the number 23 last night, its obsessive"
Emma: "damn you i lost the game"
Erika : "oh hahahaha i lost the game"
Example two (when it is starting to take over your life)
I almost forgot what a fantastic video this was. I can't wait for 2 Pac to come out of his underground bunker so he can remix this with JayZ and Beyonce.
