Legend Heart, a true original rock & roll band from Port Orchard, Washington, is the brain child of Reno West, originally from Philadelphia, Maryland, & Suzette Monique. originally from Southern California. Legend Heart was born in early 2003 after years of work between Reno West & Suzette Monique. Along with business partner, close friend, & Northwest native Bob Roberts, the band released their successful self-titled debut CD on Valentines Day in 2004. Followed by a second CD, "River Cry For The Sky" in 2006.
Legend Heart band members are comprised of seasoned, professional & multi-talented musicians, who have played everything from the smallest clubs to the largest stadiums, & whose individual energies contribute to the uniquity of the band's synergistic sound. The band made their debut performance at the Pantages Theater on January 1st 2005, to a very enthusiastic crowd. Northwest Harvest & the Family Renewal Center were both featured charities at the self-produced event. Original bassist, James Wyatt, who passed away, was a rare musical talent, who has performed with some of the greatest Motown legends all over the world. His death was a setback for the band, as well as a major personal loss. But the band stayed strong and continued to move forward.
Legend Heart has three different original shows. One heavier show primarily focused on hard rock-metal-progressive, one acoustic, & one in between focused on lighter rock-pop-alternative-blues-etc. type songs. All shows are original music, & sometimes mix elements of all three when the situation calls for it, although the band does add classic rock covers occasionally for fun by The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Ozzy Osbourne, David Bowie, Alice Cooper, & many more. Their music has been described as; driving progressive rhythms & sounds wrapped in dreamy, haunting melodies, & other times folk metal due to the lyrical creativity.
