Nigel Anderson a.k.a. Legin has been involved with music for the better part of his life. Discovering a passion for production at the age of 15, he began to produce beats for many artists including him self. He helped form several rap groups in his earlier days, recorded and produced many tracks, and became deeply involved in music. Throughout this time, he was pulling farther away from his first love, Jesus Christ.
Eventually the path of life, bad decisions, hard times, the loss of his father, and other factors left Nigel with many lessons learned, and many testimonies. Nigel eventually gave his entire life to God at a Christian rap event in November 2005 and was influenced by many incredible Gospel artists. At this time Nigel returned to his passion for music, but this time he dedicated it all to God!
Self-defined as a minister more than an artist, Legin is one who sees music as a means to draw people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. Having performed in front of and ministered to thousands of people, he has shared the stage with international artists Canton Jones, Luther Barnes, 21:03 and was a featured artist at a conference where international televangelist, pastor, and author Dr. Mike Murdock was the guest speaker. Legin has been interviewed and had his music played on several Stellar Award winning radio stations such as Rejoice 100.9 FM and Star 94.1 FM as well as various internet stations. He is also featured as a cameo artist in Tamyya J’s upcoming video for “Before Your Change Comes” alongside Andra Cross and Earl Bynum. Legin is focused on taking the Gospel of Christ to those who don’t know it and even to those who do. Seeing worldwide ministry ahead, Legin is dedicated to using the tools given to him by God to reach the masses and to bring people closer to the Lord.
Legin is the head of an extraordinary ministry entitled Renaissance Movement which consists of several Christian artists and ministers; Quest, L.A.W., DJ Lyfe, John Doe, Paul Hardy, and Christian. The term Renaissance means “rebirth,” and the ministers of R.M. believe it is time for a rebirth it the movement of God’s people. Standing against complacency, false doctrine, and standing for the love of Christ and the Truth, Renaissance Movement is focused on being used by God to do His work.
