Formed and based in Central New Jersey by Guitarists Frank and Joe Adamo - along with Drummer Collin Bianchi. Legion is a hard driving, powerful and melodic Heavy Metal band. Influenced by 70's and early 80's Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. The band's sound and song-writing style has been critically acclaimed by many in the H/R H/M media and has been compared favorably to such classic groups as Deep Purple, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Yngwie Malmsteen and Saxon (among many others). In early 2001 with Vocalist Mike Bunk on board - the band set off to create their debut album "Shadow of the King". In the summer of 2004 Legion printed a four song demo as a sampler. Inspired by the many favorable reviews of the demo, the band finished recording and mixing the album in early 2005. Released on June 15, 2005 "Shadow of the King" immediately received rave reviews both overseas and abroad - culminating in Legion being offered a spot on the German "Heavy" Magazine's Metal Crusade XI CD sampler (with the track "Medicine Man" being the band's contribution). In late 2005 Majestic Rock Records contacted the band with plans to Re-Release and Re-Master the album. The band accepted the offer and the deal was completed in January 2006. Since then, the band has been primarily focused on the follow-up to "Shadow of the King" while receiving both local and world-wide radio airplay, as well as more stellar reviews and interviews (including being selected for Tony Iommi's "Black Sunday Radio Show Series 2"). Currently the band is seeking a new Record label, Management and Representation - as well as finishing writing, recording and mixing material for their new album - with plans set for a 2009 Release.
