Legion of Glass is the work of the solitary musician Mat Aylen, based in Crouch End, London. he started the group in September 2007 after playing in several bands before finally becoming disallusioned with the live music scene.
Legion of Glass is predominantly guitar and synth based, taking influences from Bowie’s Berlin era and Krautrock , as well as the gutteral drones and sonic soundscapes of My Bloody Valentine and other 80’s/90’s indie bands.
Having recorded a significant body of work, he has recently had "Big Black Cloud" played on BBC Radio 6, and has just finished shooting his first video (see above) Mat intends to release an ep shortly...
