Introducing "Get a Leg up Battle of the Bands" from the Toad Tavern. This is a friendly battle where the winner gets a 'leg up' in the music business!
The winning band will be well on their way to rock stardom through a variety of prizes designed to improve a band's marketing strategies and overall look and presence.
This competition is for Denver area bands only and is free to enter. We don't want bands money or rights to their songs or any of that bull. This is simply a good old-fashioned competition to help some newer bands find their way.

Hello. Brice here. I book The Toad and about 6 months ago I booked a series called The Leg Up Battle of the Bands for new bands on Thursdays. The prizes are killer and it's judged so it's not just a popularity contest. So far we're on week 5 and the first 4 rounds were great and very well attended. Admission is free and music starts around 8:00. If you're looking for free fun please come out! This Thursday is Yerkish, Daddyo, and Ari Robert and if you come out please find me and say "HI!

you fucking people think you can get away with anything...well let me tell you something....life is not what you make it okay? it's one god damn pride swallowing moment after pride swallowing moment leading up and contributing to a series of crushing defeats and financial and romantic failures until all you have to fall back on is that 45 minutes on stage from the Leg Up battle of the bands.
