The members of Leilujh have only one goal in life--to play one show at The Fillmore in San Francisco. We will achieve this goal in one of the following ways:
Fillmore Plan A: Catchy Song Strategy.
Leilujh will write and perform catchy tunes for audiences around the Bay Area and beyond. After each Leilujh show, audience members will be left with a feeling of “wanting more”. This will lead to greater show attendance, which will lead to more shows being played, which in turn will lead to ever greater show attendance. This will result in one of three things happening:
1. Another band who wants to steal our fans will invite us to play with them at The Fillmore.
2. A record label will sign us up and book us a show at The Fillmore.
3. Ever increasing attendance at Leilujh shows will risk violating fire codes, and the City of San Francisco will pass a resolution demanding, for the safety of our fans, that we be allowed to play The Fillmore.
Fillmore Plan B: Merchandise Sale Plan.
Leilujh will play popiliscious grooves for you at anytime, anywhere for a nominal cover charge. At such performances, we will sell cd’s and other trinkets which you will find irrisistable. You will buy several. After many years of this, we will have enough money to rent out The Fillmore for one night for a "private event". We will rent it out and play there alone, with no audience. Because art is personal.
Fillmore Plan C: Flash Mob Attack!!
Members of Leilujh will each smuggle an instrument into The Fillmore during a normally scheduled performance, preferably a group that is quiet or maybe a stand up comic. We will not sit close to each other for fear of detection. But at the pre-arranged signal, the members of Leilujh will walk to a designated spot on the floor and launch into one of our songs. People will turn, look, and listen. We will be thrown out, but by then we will have played a show at The Fillmore.
"An artist is someone who produces things that people don't need to have but that he - for some reason - thinks it would be a good idea to give them." Andy Warhol
