Leine is: Marjoleine Reitsma - vocals, guitars, saxopohones, accordion, body sounds.
When playing live, she plays mostly solo.
The E.P. "Songs from the dinner table" was self-released in August 2006, additional musicians on it are Michiel Stam, Moss and the best pedalsteel player round here, Rob van Duuren.
On the new album "Truth be told" Leine collaborated with Anton Goudsmit (guitar), Oene van Geel (violin), Finn Kruijning (percussion and more), Cord Heineking (contrabas), Michiel Stam (guitar), Henrik Holm (tuba & singing saw), phinx (piano) and Robbert Koekoek (clarinet). They make this album a musical adventure.

But she also listens to: Tom Waits, Andrew Bird, Sufjan Stevens, Feist, Django Reinhardt, Schönberg, Fauré, Moloko, Motorpsycho, Jeff Buckley.

Leine writes about everyday life and special discoveries. She takes you onto a lyrical and musical adventure filled with emotions, variety and humour. A powerful, warm voice with a jazzy twist, strong melodies and interesting compositions. “Refreshing and wayward... Leine’s simply special. Period.”, is what VPRO’s Dutch music channel 3voor12 writes about her.
In 2008 Leine appeared on National TV several times, played at different big Dutch festivals like the North Sea Jazz Festival, Oerol and Lowlands. Currently she’s working on her theatre show with popular Dutch poet Ingmar Heytze.

See a preview of the theatre show "Elders in de Wereld" with Dutch poet Ingmar Heytze, this song's called "Museumkwartier"
Two abstract urban meditations composed by French visual artist Jérôme Schlomoff. Both filmed with a pinhole movie 35mm camera, these two films create mysterious and eerie portraits of the two cities, a ghostly New York City under a snowstorm and a poetical exploration of Amsterdam as a city suspended between past, present and future, in a visual voyage filmed at some of the city’s building sites. Both films are going to be presented with a live soundtrack performed by experimental hip-hop producer Smooth One and bass player Mouard Baali.
Smooth One biographical notes:
Smooth One comes from the abstract hip-hop scene. He wrote with Dj cam the two first album in 1996 and 1998, Underground Vibes and Substance. After a live album recorded in « Transmusicales » festival in Rennes and many remix for Air, Tek9 and Silent Poets, Smooth One decided to work alone, mainly on film music, and managing his own label, Superflux, which also published the soundtrack of NEW YORK ZERO ZERO & AMSTERDAM RECONSTRUCTION. http://www.lesuperflux.com/
