Having spun alongside the likes of Fabio & Grooverider, the Unabombers, Jazzy Jeff, Plump DJ's and Massive Attacks Daddy G amongst many others, the artists from the Leisure Recordings stable have been treating discerning crowds to their unique brand of party rocking beats at Ruby Lo in London and Level, Native and the Arc Bar in Bristol for quite some time now.
The aim of Leisure Recordings is to put out great records, and with capacity nights that have been running for the last 3 years, they have already gone a long way in achieving their goal of cementing a reputation for playing quality diverse music and exclusive productions in their hometown of Bristol, a city that some find hard to make an impression on.
With the Leisure sound now being championed regularly on FBI radio in Australia and also on the airwaves in Washington DC, an independent film scored by Plan B of the Leisure Allstars and a recent slot on MTV style, its quite apparent that the Leisure sound is being noticed much further afield than the outskirts of the Allstars native Bristol.
The first few Leisure releases were dropped by everyone from the World Famous Beat Junkies, Blackbeard and Stereo MCs, with DJ Hoop's infamous reworks making an appearance on one of the Nextmens recent exclusive mix CDs.
Artists on the label include
DJ Hoop - Mysterious soul rework genius of a hiphop and rare groove persuasion. Check out 'Not the Nextmen' on CD from Scenario records.

Leisure Allstars - Label owners, promoters at Bristol's Native nightclub and original appropriators of golf and snooker clothing as high fashion. They are currently trying to get the first Leisure compilation sponsored by a barbecue equipment manufacturer.
Tuff Love - Soul clappin, samba freaky beatminers from capital city who are the brand new artists to release through Leisure Recordings. These guys are gonna be big so check out track 3 above. go to myspace.com/tufflovemusic ffi.
The Bodybeard Brothers - Shrouded in intrigue thus far, the bodybeard brothers may or may not be a concept project from the Leisure Allstars.
Parker - prodigal scratch DJ and producer of futuristic northern soul bangers and firing instrumental hiphop set to light up Bristol and beyond later this year. check myspace.com/djparker ffi.

This compilation fuses together a quality selection of Reggae, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop and breaks. Show casing old classic reggae and funk along side the latest offerings from the likes of DJ Yoda, A Skills, Jurassic 5 and Leisure Recordings. The compilation is representative of my DJ Style and spectrum of music genres that weaves their way through my sets. I love to mix it up between all styles of music as can be seen in this compilation.
