Leith Theatre Trust is a newly formed organisation which has been set up to facilitate the refurbishment of Leith Theatre for the local community. Originally built as Leith Town Hall, this 1930s art-deco building is today of considerable social and architectural significance. Dating back to the coming together of Leith Burgh and Edinburgh City Corporation, today the positioning of this iconic building is strategically placed between both old and new communities of Leith. Newly refurbished, the Theatre will provide a bespoke community venue which will act as a focal point for the integration between Leith’s old and new communities. Delivering many benefits to the area, Leith Theatre can provide the community with a range of arts-based, educational and recreational opportunities for both residents and visitors. So, if you have connections to Leith, if you live or work here and if you would like to come and support your community project then please - do come and join us.
